About Michelle
Michelle’s first memory involving her passion with horses was as a four year-old child, sitting atop a work horse as he pulled a plow through a potato field; the farmer followed, manning the plow, both silent as this farm was in Bitburg, Germany and the only communication they had in common was the touch and feel of the horse.
This rather innocuous beginning was the start of a life-long love of horses for Michelle. Her affection for them has manifested itself in being a horse owner and competent trainer, introducing her horses to several disciplines, all accomplished using natural methods with successful results. The care and respect she has lavished on her stable is also visible in her previous professional life, having earned a degree in Occupational Therapy. A profession well respected and appreciated by the parents in the school district where she practiced.

A love of horses and desire to mitigate pain is what led Michelle to pursue certification in the discipline of Equine Touch in 2002. Her way to give back to an animal whose history is woven into human history, an animal that has given so much to us and has asked for so little in return.
"You cannot remain unmoved by the gentleness and conformation of a well-bred and well-trained horse.....more than a thousand pounds of big-bones, well-muscled animal. Slick of coat and sweet of smell, obedient and mannerly.
And yet forever a menace with its innocent power and ineradicable inclination to seek refuge in flight. And always a burden with its need to be fed, wormed and shod. With its liability to cuts and infections, to laming and heaves. But when it greets you with a nicker, nuzzles your chest, and regards you with a large and liquid eye, the question of where you want to be and what you want to do has been answered."
